I cannot do justice to PGLM. Superb talents both voice and acting, world-class live performing acts, execution efficiency at the highest level, theater set & props beyond your wildest imagination (they literary 're-invent' the beautiful free-flowing Ledang waterfall, bukan bumi sebarangan, on stage my friend, and the name “Malacca” was honored to the fullest by the magnificent detailed wooden-carved balairong and port set).

And whoever the music directors and choreographers were, they are geniuses. Marriage of modern music with percussions that creates the harmony and vibration you can’t stop singing and dancing with. Dah lama bulu roma tak meremang dek sedapnya lagu. Sound and lights with special effects were 100x better than of those in film, and they were real.

Stephen the Tuah sure can sing with all the background, Tiara was outstanding for a live performer, Adlin was at his true best, and AC Mizal, he got my standing ovation for a first timer. There’s also one scene where Adlin the Sultan, singing and dancing tak tumpah macam the sombong Emperor’s New Groove animation, with all the pak pacak et all, before he became the donkey. Sebijik tak hingat, and it was so entertaining.

You can’t help but admiring. Although you knew the plot from start to end, it still surprises you in great many ways. Betapa rapuhnya Kandipaten melawan Demak dalam perang saudara, gahnya nama Melaka bumi bertuah dan Laksamananya, cinta terlarang sang puteri, setianya rakyat pada Sultan, sekali hatinya terluka, se-Melaka terasa pedihnya. Plus the scene where the cutest Raja Ahmad will be sacrified for a bowl of his blood. Emosi terbuai my friend, and it was good. 3 hours straight with 15 min. inter-mission were the most unforgettable experience.

From YamTuan Besar Negeri Sembilan & wife whose around that night, to the 7-years-old Afif, all will fall to this epic. Kudos. To the team, pat your back and call yourselves geniuses. This is the next level.

Definitely will buy the DVD and soundtrack (if any) later on. This masterpiece lived-up to the billing, dan layak officially menjadi sekeping DVD pertama yang akan aku beli dalam sejarah 26 tahun hidup aku.
